Premature ejaculation can either consist of reaching a sexual climax too quickly - often as soon as sexual contact is made, or even sooner. Sometimes it is accompanied by orgasm, other times not, and the erection will begin to decline, just as if orgasm had been reached. In many situations, premature ejaculation is caused by inability to control the flow of ejaculate due of weakness of pubococcygeus (PC) muscle. To find the muscle, you need to stop the stream when urinating. That muscle that closes off the urine stream is the one that needs to be strengthened. Then you must exercise to 'educate' this muscle to control the flow. A good start is to do the 5-5 exercise, that is to hold the muscle contracted for five seconds, then release for five seconds. Do 10 repetitions to start for at least the first week, three time per day.. Gradually, by adding 2 or 3 additional reps, work up to 50, three times a day. Go slowly and if there is any strain or weakness, rest up for a few days. By "closing off" the seminal flow during intercourse (contracting and holding the muscle), you will be able to control the premature ejaculation. To see the result of exercising, when urinating, urinate a tablespoon at a time, stopping the flow for a second or two, and then releasing another tablespoon, and repeating the cycle. When you can stop and release the flow without any problem you may be sure that a good control has been achieved. |
