Fixing the World

Many have wanted to fix the world, so few understand where to start. It is indeed a tough choice, as there really is so much that needs to be fixed. Both with our selves and our civilization, so where does one start. Most of us, even the most enlightened thinker admits they are clueless as to how to even begin to think of all the types of fixes. Sure some of us can point to three or four, maybe five things that are extremely problematic. These folks point to homeless, healthcare, starving Africans, government waste or perhaps too many taxes. Even the Think Tanks of the World become so micro focused that they often fail to see the whole picture and more often than not suggest things as fixes which indeed create even more problems which are caused by the eventuality of those fixes.

Have you seriously thought on these issues? I have and in my preliminary conclusion it appears that mankind is exactly where he should be considering his intellectual capacity, ethics, religious doctrines, hypocrisy, mediocrity, repeating of history.

To fix the World, we must never deny the innate characteristics of the species in setting up a better system of our civilization. We must concentrate on the systems of civilization first, which is the best place start. I am speaking of course as such things as; Education, transportation, communication, distribution, common currency, energy, water, etc. And they are all interactive and must be dealt with as one. The major problem of all these thinkers is they a limiting themselves by focusing on one thing, when every change you make effects something else. In that regard the problems of unintended consequences seem to be universal in nearly all created government structures. We need to be thinking here. Smaller government might be one of the ways to address this and then move forward from there? Think on it.
