The creators of Family Guy are now going after their opponents. Family Guy was near the top of the Parents Television Council's recent "worst" list of family-friendly TV shows.

Sunday's new episode (on Fox) focuses on a Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction that sparks a government investigation. When Peter Griffin from Family Guy creates his own TV channel when he finds that all of his favorite shows are being censored by the FCC. But the FCC cracks down on him and starts to regulate his broadcast content - and his day to day life.

Since Family Guy is a cartoon there is a misconception that it is geared towards children, but after watching 5 minutes of the show it becomes obvious that the show is for mature audiences only. Family Guy was the second worst show on PTC's "worst shows" list.

Melissa Caldwell, the research director for PTC said "Family Guy, has made jokes about necrophilia and masturbation. And to a certain extent I think they feel they can get away with it because it's [an] animated [series]."

Sunday's episode includes a parental advisory and a TV-14 rating for suggestive dialogue, coarse language and sexual content.

Jim Dyke, executive director of TV Watch, said the episode "is satire, but the government's ever-increasing reach into our living rooms is anything but funny."
