You can also use them for different important functions in every day life. Modern tarps are generally made with woven polyethylene.

Tarps material can also be mixed with polyethylene to enhance its qualities. This material is known as Polytarp. Tarps covers have built in loops all over the sides and corners. These loops are fastened in attachment points for rope so that they can be tied down or hanged up.
